where it started……
In the beginning it was all about me! A wonderfully happy life in country Queensland with my gorgeous husband and fabulous family and friends, and of course my favourite shoe shop Arabella!
With a bit of planning and a touch of luck our first child was conceived. Our Melbourne Cup Day due baby was on her way!
Gorgeous husband tirelessly researched every product available on the market for his little princess to be. Online at every opportunity. As the due date grew closer the house filled with product after product. All the must haves, the nice to haves and the “what do I do with this?”.
Then one day a dear friend sat me down and explained it to me plain and simple.
This is how the conversation went:
So it is all about you now. Enjoy being able to leave the house in a second, step out for dinner whenever you like or have a cup of coffee. When baby comes it is all about baby.
The second after my beautiful baby girl entered our world I understood. That conversation was not about sacrifice. It was about the overwhelming desire and need to make my world all about baby. |
